Dorothy Erber

January 4, 1930 - July 17, 2011

Dorothy M. Erber, 81, of Janesville died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at her residence. She was born January 4, 1930 in Portage, WI. She grew up in Poynette, WI and the Chicago area. She graduated from Poynette High School in 1947. On September 9, 1950, Dorothy married Willis D. “Will” Erber and they resided in Poynette until moving to Janesville in 1955. Dorothy worked as a receptionist at the Heritage Salon for many years until she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. One of her great delights was traveling abroad with her husband and other family members.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Will, her daughter, Jill (Jeff) Woytal of Columbia, SC, her granddaughter, Ashley (Bryan) Rowe of Elm Grove, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Blanche Hall; two sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Turner of Janesville and Beverly (Hank) Niemeyer of Las Vegas, NV.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bruce A. Jones officiating. The family will meet friends at the church from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
